Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention

We believe that the KEY to the prevention of child abuse and neglect is through education, training, and support of our community and their families. All of our child abuse and neglect prevention programs are offered to Gratiot County residents.

Our Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention efforts include:

  • Basic needs for infants and toddlers
  • Body safety education for children
  • Car seat safety
  • Child sexual abuse prevention training
  • Education on how to respond to and report abuse and neglect
  • Infant calming and soothing techniques
  • Infant safe sleep practices
  • Parental support and education
  • Resources on various parenting and child development topics
  • Training and support for professionals and youth-serving organizations

All concerns of child abuse and neglect should be reported to Centralized Intake at 855-444-3911. For emergent or immediate concerns, call 911. For more information on making a report of abuse or neglect, visit our Report Child Abuse page.
