Volunteer Opportunities

Undergraduate Students: Child Advocacy accepts volunteers and interns pursuing undergraduate degrees in child development, criminal justice, education, family studies, social work, and other human service related fields. Students can expect a well-rounded experience working within all of our main programs: Substance Abuse and Suicide Prevention, Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention, Children’s Advocacy Center, and Court Appointed Special Advocates. BSW Students: BSW interns primarily work within our Children’s Advocacy Center. Please review our BSW CAC Internship Description to see if this opportunity would fit your interests and skillset.

MSW Students: We offer two MSW internship options for both first year (general) and second year/advance-standing (clinical). MSW interns can expect to gain a strong understanding of child abuse and neglect, trauma, and the legal process for victims of crime. Child Advocacy is open Monday - Friday from 9am - 4pm. Internship and volunteer times would be during business hours. We do have additional trainings and events that may be held outside of business hours and can be used towards hours based on availability.
